We offer a range of clinics and services at the surgery. There are some tasks you can do, such as health reviews, using our online forms.

Practice Nurse clinics

Baby immunisations

Appointments will be sent out by the practice.

Coronary heart disease clinic

These clinics are run by the Practice Nurse for assessment of coronary heart disease. Patients can make an appointment at reception.

Well woman clinic

Smears can be made in nurses’ general clinics

The clinics are run by our Practice Nurse. The service includes a cervical smear, breast awareness advice and a blood pressure check.

Diabetic clinics

You should be sent an appointment for regular review. If you have not received an appointment please ask at reception.

Asthma and COPD clinics

These clinics are run by the Practice Nurse for assessment of patients with asthma and review of their medication. Patients can make an appointment at reception.

Health Care Assistant clinic

Our Health Care Assistant provides blood pressure checks and New Patient health checks. Patients can make an appointment at reception.

Contraceptive services

We are able to offer a wide range of contraceptive services as well as the contraceptive pill. These include emergency contraception, the injection, intrauterine devices (IUD + IUS) Implanon, Sexual Health and Chlamydia Testing.

Pre-conceptual advice

Our Practice nurses offer advice to women planning to become pregnant, such as smoking, diet, alcohol, rubella, generically inherited or pre-existing medical conditions and drug misuse.

Services not covered by the NHS

The NHS does not cover medical examinations for insurance purposes, pre-employment, certain driving licences and fitness to travel or participation in sports. Certificates other than the standard DSS certificates may also incur a fee. This also applies to report, to private medical companies and the signing of passport forms. Please ask the receptionist for our full and comprehensive list of private fees.
