Cuffley Village Surgery Clinics and Services

Practice Nurse Clinics

Monday – Friday 9.00am – 12.00 noon
Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 4.00pm. – 6.00pm

Coronary Heart Disease Clinic

Monday 9.00am – 12.00noon
Thursday 1.00pm – 2.30pm

These clinics are run by the Practice Nurse for assessment of coronary heart disease. Patients can make an appointment at reception.

Well Woman Clinic

Tuesday 1.00 pm. – 2.30pm + smears can be made in nurses’ general clinics

The clinics are run by our Practice Nurse. The service includes a cervical smear, breast awareness advice and a blood pressure check.

Midwife/Ante-Natal Clinic

The Midwife holds a clinic for expectant mothers every Thursday afternoon. She will routinely monitor ladies throughout pregnancy and advise on any aspect of pregnancy and labour. Appointments can be made at reception.

Please note that the first visit to confirm pregnancy should be with Doctor.

Phlebotomy

Wednesdays 8.30am – 11.30am

CHD and Diabetic Clinics

Mondays 9.00am. – 12.00noon and 4.00am – 6.00pm and Tuesday 3.00 pm – 4.30pm.

The clinic is held once every two weeks. You will be seen by the Practice Nurse. You should be sent an appointment for regular review. If you have not received an appointment please ask at reception.

Asthma Clinics

Monday 4.00pm – 6.00pm and Tuesdays 3.00pm – 4.30pm

These clinics are run by the Practice Nurse for assessment of patients with asthma and review of their medication. Patients can make an appointment at reception.

Health Care Assistant Clinic

Our Health Care Assistant provides blood pressure checks and New Patient health checks. Patients can make an appointment at reception.

Contraceptive Services

We are able to offer a wide range of contraceptive services as well as the contraceptive pill. These include emergency contraception, the injection, intrauterine devices (IUD + IUS) Implanon, Sexual Health and Chlamydia Testing.

Please note:

Implanon can only be fitted and removed at Cuffley Village Surgery by Dr Taylor, however patients from Valley View can also be seen at Cuffley for this service following a telephone consultation with Dr Taylor in the first instance.

Pre-conceptual Advice

Our Practice nurses offer advice to women planning to become
pregnant,such as smoking, diet, alcohol, rubella, generically inherited or pre-existing medical conditions and drug misuse.

Valley View Health Centre clinics and Services

Midwife/Ante-Natal Clinic – Now at Valley View

Baby Imms

Tuesdays 2.30pm – 5.00pm

Asthma and COPD

Monday 3.30pm – 6.00pm and Tuesdays 5.20pm – 6.00pm

These clinics are run by the Practice Nurse for assessment of patients with asthma and review of their medication. Patients can make an appointment at reception.

Phlebotomy

Tuesdays and Thursdays 8.30am – 11.30am

Services not covered by the NHS

The NHS does not cover medical examinations for insurance purposes, pre-employment, certain driving licences and fitness to travel or participation in sports. Certificates other than the standard DSS certificates may also incur a fee. This also applies to report, to private medical companies and the signing of passport forms. Please ask the receptionist for our full and comprehensive list of private fees.
